Top 10 Oldies of 1957

Sunday August 14, 2005
Because so many of you have been asking, I've started a new feature -- the top ten oldies of 1955-1975, year by year! It's a look through the big hits, the important songs, and the historical milestones of rock and roll's first (and, some would say, only) great golden age. I've included info on the original 45s, and as always, you can hear the tracks and compare prices on the CD they come from. Enjoy... we'll be walking through the first twenty years of rock and roll into the fall and winter!

This week: The original rockers begin to hit their peak: Chuck, Buddy, Fats, Elvis, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, not to mention doo-wop gold and some upstarts named Sam, Don, and Phil!
