Teen Idols, Then and Now: What Do You Think?

With all the Britney Spears drama going on right now, it may be time to look back on an earlier era of teen idoldom and reflect... do you think our pop idols of the 50s, 60s, and 70s were under more or less pressure than the ones of today? Does teen idolhood necessarily lead to adult meltdown? And do you believe the pop idols of an earlier era were better as role models... or would they all be better off without that responsibility?
