They're rock, pop, and soul's unsung heroes, most of them not household names at all, the musicians who toiled away behind the scenes creating the music we all take for granted... then passed away in 2011. It's a given fact that you've heard the work of these people, even if you don't know most of their names, so let's take a little time to pay your respects at the men and women who helped make the oldies we love. Here's my annual list of oldies performers, songwriters, producers, and even company men who sadly left us in the past year.
