Before there was Hair Metal, New Wave, or even Punk, there was Glam, the movement that made rock fun again and dragged it into an androgyny and camp that it never fully worked its way out of. The best Glam Rock artists of all time, all from the '70s and most from Britain, defined the genre, both as a cultural explosion and a music which made the late '70s and early '80s possible. See my list of the greatest Glam Rockers of all time here.
