I have no idea whether or not THIS has anything to do with New Orleans, but it has always sounded like it did to me. Perhaps it’s the odd combination of a Geordie attempting to sing with a slight Jamaican lilt in his voice. I can easily imagine it accompanying the still photograph you used to illustrate this list.
