There's already been a number of box sets dealing with Motown's Sixties and early-Seventies glory days, most notably 1992's "Hitsville USA: The Motown Singles Collection 1959-1971," but its four CDs contained "only" the label's big hits and some important singles that didn't fare so well. This new comp, on the other hand, reprises all the big hits, but in extended stereo versions with longer intros and outros, as well as a whole disc of rarities and b-sides and a grand total of 30 NEW stereo mixes. Important for collectors and also not a bad place for Motown newbies to start out!
