Who were the classic girl group songwriters?

Question: Who were the classic girl group songwriters?
Answer: For such a broad-based phenomenon, girl group hits were mainly crafted by a select group of songwriters, most of them occupying the Brill Building in New York City (1619 Broadway). The "Brill Building Sound" came to refer to American pop of the early-Sixties, usually in reference to the girl groups. The most famous songwriters of the girl group era and their biggest hits:

Carole King and Gerry Goffin "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," The Shirelles; "The Loco-motion," Little Eva; "One Fine Day," The Chiffons; "Chains," "Don't Say Nothing Bad About My Baby," The Cookies
Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich "Da Doo Ron Ron," "Then He Kissed Me," The Crystals; "Be My Baby," The Ronettes; "Chapel Of Love," The DIxie Cups; "Leader Of The Pack," The Shangri-Las; "Maybe I Know," Lesley Gore
Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil "He's Sure The Boy I Love," "Uptown," The Crystals; "I Love How You Love Me," Paris Sisters; "Walking In The Rain," The Ronettes

At Motown, the team of Holland-Dozier-Holland provided many of the girl-group hits, including "Heat Wave," "Quicksand," and "Nowhere To Run" for Martha and the Vandellas and "Where Did Our Love Go," "Baby Love," "Come See About Me," "Stop! In the Name of Love," "I Hear a Symphony," "My World Is Empty Without You," "Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart," "You Can't Hurry Love," "You Keep Me Hangin' On," and "Love Is Here And Now You're Gone" for the Supremes.
