- Another Shirelles song (and therefore a favorite of John's, who probably argued for its inclusion here), this song was originally released by the girl group in 1961 on Scepter 1227.
- This was cut in three takes during the "evening session" on February 11, 1963, just after the completion of "Chains" and just before work began on the final song, "Twist And Shout." A celesta part was added by producer George Martin on February 20, 1963, in two takes. A sixth take, featuring a piano part by Martin, was eventually scrapped.
- The arrangement of "Baby It's You" hews closer to the original than most, with lighter drums and George's guitar taking the place of the original's organ solo.
Trivia:
- "Baby It's You" is the only Beatles song Burt Bacharach had a hand in writing.
