The "sexual revolution" that took place in the late '60s and early '70s caused a revolution in pop music, too, as AM radio rushed to celebrate not only the art of seduction but the joys of connubial bliss. And this is where these ten songs, all but one of which were Billboard Top 10 hits, went horribly wrong, offering a touchy-feely openness that was sometimes creepy, always unasked-for, and often less subtle than a Viagra commercial. A lot less. See my list of the ickiest soft-rock ballads of the '70s here.
