Question: What are the major Shag events?
Answer: The two biggest annual events on the shag/beach calendar happen, naturally, in South Myrtle Beach, SC, and those are the Spring Safari (next: April 21-30, 2006) and the Fall Migration (next: September 16-25, 2005). Competitions are held at most events; the biggest shag competition in the US, however, is held at the annual USA Grand Nationals, a combination swing/shag event.
